The project objective was a modernization of tissue sorter. Application was carried out using three Berger Lahr servo drive axles and Siemens S5 programmable logic controller. Because of the problems with servicing, the Customer decided to replace existing platform with Siemens Simotion Drive. Due to such solution, the existing servo drives were changed to Sinamics S120 while controlling with use of Siemens S5 was transferred to Simotion unit.
